1. About the terms of use
These terms of use apply to the use of virio.dk and the information, features and services that Virio makes available.
By using Virio, you agree to use the service in accordance with these terms and applicable law.
The terms of use apply to visitors, registered users and companies alike, unless otherwise stated.
For the purchase of paid services, Virio's Terms of sale also apply.
2. About Virio
Virio is a Danish company information service where users can search for and find information about Danish companies and individuals with registered roles or relations to companies.

3. Virio's company data
A significant part of the information on Virio comes from public registers and other relevant data sources.
This may include, among other things:
- company name
- company registration number
- address
- company status
- industry
- company form
- financial information
- number of employees
- production units
- historical company information
- registered individuals and roles
Virio may process, structure and present the information in a different way than the original data source.

4. Accuracy and currency of the information
Virio strives to display correct and up-to-date company information.
However, Virio cannot guarantee that all information is complete, current or error-free at all times.
The following may occur, among other things:
- a delay between changes in a data source and Virio's update
- errors in the original data source
- technical errors
- missing information
- differences in how information is structured or presented

5. Use of information from Virio
Virio makes information available for the purpose of ordinary information searches and business orientation.
You may use Virio for ordinary lookups and searches and use individual pieces of information to the extent this is done lawfully and in accordance with these terms.
Access to Virio does not in itself grant the right to systematically copy, collect, republish or commercially exploit Virio's overall service, database, structure or content.
6. Systematic collection and scraping
Systematic, extensive or automated collection of information from Virio is not permitted without Virio's prior written permission.
This includes, among other things, the use of:
- scraping
- crawlers
- bots
- scripts
- automated queries
- data mining
- automated mass downloads
- other technical methods for systematic collection
This applies in particular where the purpose is to:
- build or supplement another company database
- copy a substantial part of Virio's database
- resell or distribute Virio's content
- republish Virio's company profiles
- create a competing service
- circumvent technical restrictions or access controls
Ordinary use of publicly available pages through a standard browser is of course permitted in accordance with these terms of use.
7. Search engines and indexing
Virio may allow ordinary search engines to crawl and index publicly available pages on virio.dk.
Such access must take place in accordance with Virio's technical instructions, including relevant robots.txt rules and other technical restrictions.
The fact that Virio allows indexing by a search engine does not mean that other parties are thereby permitted to systematically retrieve or copy Virio's database or content.
8. Reuse and publication of content
Individual factual company details may be publicly available from their original sources.
However, this does not necessarily mean that Virio's own compilation, structure, presentation, design or other content may be freely copied.
Virio's own texts, descriptions, graphics, design, structure, software and other original content may not be copied, republished or used commercially without permission, unless otherwise provided by applicable law.
If you want access to larger volumes of data or wish to use Virio's data commercially, you can contact Virio at info@virio.dk.
9. Intellectual property rights
Virio and Virio's licensors retain their respective rights to material and technology used on the service.
Virio's name, logo, graphic identity, software, functionality, design and original texts may not be used in a way that gives the impression of affiliation with or endorsement by Virio without permission.
Third-party trademarks, company names, logos and other material belong to the respective rights holders.
10. Company profiles
A company may be displayed on Virio without the company itself having created the profile.
Basic company profiles may be created based on information from public registers and other data sources.
Virio may offer companies the option to verify their affiliation with a profile and manage additional information.
Verified company
The label “Verified company” means that Virio has completed the applicable verification process for the user or account that manages the company profile.
The verification is not:
- a recommendation from Virio
- a quality approval
- a credit assessment
- a guarantee of the company's products or services
- a guarantee of the company's finances or trustworthiness
Users should therefore make the assessment of a company that is relevant in the specific situation themselves.
11. Content added by companies
Companies with access to their profile may have the option to add information and material themselves.
This may include, for example:
- logo
- company description
- website
- contact information
- the company's history
- images or other material
Virio does not necessarily verify all information that companies add themselves.
The company or user who adds the material is responsible for ensuring that the information is correct, lawful and does not infringe the rights of third parties.
12. Prohibited use
Virio must not be used for unlawful or harmful purposes.
Among other things, it is not permitted to:
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to Virio's systems
- circumvent security measures or access restrictions
- disrupt or overload the service
- distribute malware or other harmful code
- misuse user accounts
- pretend to represent a company without permission
- use Virio in a way that infringes the rights of others
- use automated systems in breach of these terms
Virio may restrict or block access if we detect or have reasonable grounds to suspect misuse.
13. User accounts
Certain features on Virio may require a user account.
The user is responsible for:
- providing correct information
- protecting their login credentials
- not sharing access with unauthorized persons
- activities carried out via the user's account
If you suspect that your account has been misused, you must contact Virio as soon as possible.
14. Links to other websites
Virio may contain links to companies' websites and other external services.
These websites are operated by third parties and are not under Virio's control.
Virio is not responsible for content, security, availability or processing of personal data on external websites.
A link from Virio should not in itself be interpreted as a recommendation or endorsement of the website, company, service or product in question.
15. Virio is not advice
Information on Virio is made available as company information.
The information does not constitute legal, financial, investment, accounting or other professional advice.
Decisions should not be made solely on the basis of information from Virio if the decision requires independent professional assessment or verification of the information with the original source.
16. Availability
Virio strives to keep the service available but does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Virio may temporarily restrict or suspend the service in connection with, among other things:
- maintenance
- security updates
- technical problems
- changes to the service
- circumstances at external providers
Virio may continuously change, further develop or remove features.
17. Liability
Virio is liable under the general rules of Danish law, with the limitations that may lawfully be agreed.
Virio does not guarantee that information from public registers, companies or other external data sources is correct, complete or current at all times.
Virio is not liable for losses caused solely by errors or deficiencies in information from external data sources, unless otherwise provided by mandatory law.
The user is responsible for assessing whether information on Virio is sufficient for the purpose for which it is to be used.
18. Breach of the terms of use
In the event of a material or repeated breach of these terms of use, Virio may, among other things:
- restrict access to the service
- block technical access
- suspend a user account
- close a user account
- remove content that breaches the terms
Virio further reserves the right to assert relevant rights and claims under applicable law.
19. Personal data and cookies
Virio's processing of personal data is described in our Privacy policy.
Virio's processing and display of company data and personal data from company registers is described in more detail on the Company data and personal data page.
Virio's use of cookies and similar technologies is described in our Cookie policy.
20. Changes to the terms of use
Virio may update these terms of use from time to time, for example when the service, features or applicable rules change.
The latest version will always be available on virio.dk.
Material changes that are relevant to registered users may also be communicated directly if deemed relevant.
21. Governing law
These terms of use are governed by Danish law.
Any disputes will initially be sought resolved amicably.
If this is not possible, the dispute will be decided by the Danish courts under the general rules of Danish law.
